The Collection of Mario Buatta at Stair was an amazing sale given what is going on in the world today. There was over 3,500 bidders that competed online and over 150 on the phone.
The collection was primarily purchased by private collectors, architects, and interior designers. The sale made just over $2 million dollars including the buyer’s premium. It was also a ‘white glove sale’ which means every lot found new home!
We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome!
We have two additional sales from Mario’s collection. “Ceramics” on April 16 includes all of our favorite lettuce and cabbage wear + more and “Objects, Treasures and Trifles” on April 17 which is just full of wonderful things.
