Highlighting this month’s Thursday Morning at STAIR is property from the Estate of John Githens and Ingeborg Ten Haeff whose bohemian apartment on Washington Square Park was filled with interesting objects, paintings by artist peers and friends, and furniture designed by architect Paul Lester Wiener. This eclectic mix of fine and decorative art is complemented by property from various owners and collections, including Property from an Interior Designed by Markham Roberts, Property of a Private Collector, One Sutton Place South, Property from the Collection of James M. Labaugh Antiques, Pound Ridge, NY, the Collection of Sanford L. Smith, Property from the Jordan Saunders Collection, the Estate of Stanley S. Arkin, a group of interesting Asian and South Asian pottery and objects, and a nice selection of Old Master and 19th Century paintings.
